CLASS AND STYLE: The newest addition to Mississippi State University’s campus welcomed more than 11,000 of the university’s 21,884 students to its gleaming new halls as the fall semester began in August. Built in the style of the legendary Old Main dormitory, the Old Main Academic Center boasts 90,000 square feet of classroom space and a 60,000-square-foot parking garage. The $41.1 million facility, which lies at the corner of George Perry Street and Barr Avenue, was built using sustainable materials and systems. Its classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, making it a showcase of modern education practices that will equip students with the best tools to ensure their success.
