James Milton Russell (‘43) – 22, Collierville; retired Collierville postmaster. After graduating from State he joined the army and served in Italy with the 51st Infantry, 88th Division, “Blue Devils.” He received both a Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster, later discharged with the rank of captain, March 4, 2014.
